………..to enjoy yourself in the Yorkshire Dales. Good job really as we have seen precious little of it so far this “summer”.
However, it is true that sunshine is not a must have requirement when visitors look at how to make the most of this beautiful part of the world and in many ways the large amounts of rain we have had over recent weeks makes some of the places to visit and things to do even more spectacular.
Gordale Scar and Janet’s Foss are to be seen at their majestic best with plenty of water flowing over/through them, and Malham Cove is quite breath taking in any weather. Guests at Tudor House are never disappointed if they care to take the 3-4 mile circular walk that can take you to all three of these magnificent natural wonders.
A pint in the Lister Arms is always a welcome conclusion to this “stroll”
Just up the road the falls and cave complexes around Ingleton never fail to impress. And walkers will be delighted with whats on offer at Country Harvest when the hard work is done.
And even if it is raining, then the Settle-Carlisle railway never ever lets anybody down.
More tips as we go for what to do in the Yorkshire Dales, and remember, as last years Welcome to Yorkshire ad campaign said – a weekend is never long enough!!
